Born on 1/7/1955 in Babhanpura, P.S. Sikariganj, Gorakhpur, Suvrat Tripathi completed his High School education from S.A.V. Inter College Saini Sirthu Allahabad ( Now Kaushambi ) in 1969. His father Late Sri Rajeshwari Prasad Tripathi  was lecturer there and his mother Late srimati Annapurna Devi a housewife, In 1971, he topped from G. I. C. Allahabad, in spite of being Arts student. In 1973 faring well in B.A. in University of Allahabad, he completed L.L.B. from the same University in 1976 and entered I.P.S. on 12/07/1977 in U. P. Cadre appearing at the age of 21 years . He was posted as ASP Faizabad, Kanpur and Varanasi and also SPRA Bareilly. He occupied the chairs of SP Hardoi, SSP Varanasi and also that of IG Zone Allahabad and also had tenures in almost all other branches of Police including PAC, Shanti Suraksha Bal, CID , economic offences, Co-operative cell, S.I.B. training, intelligence, fire service, technical services, prosecution, civil defence and rules and manual. He was awarded President's Medal for meritorious services and outstanding contribution to the department.
                        Sri Tripathi retired on 30/6/2015 from the post of DG and now has got himself registered as an Advocate at the Bar Council. He has written several books in prose and poetry in Hindi, Sanskrit , English and Urdu . He has also contributed articles to print media and appeared occassionally on electronic media .

Sri Tripathi took over on 23/11/15 as National President Manuwadi Party,( when he was elected unanimausly for the same) from Sri Sharda Prasad Tripathi after his resignation.
